Photobucket

I get that horses and riders have bad moments, and during a gymkhana everything is happening fast, but it's no excuse to yank your horse around. Especially when your horse looks terrified in every.single.photo, from multiple shows.

Gotta love Craigslist.

I love tying my horses reins to the pommel just for a pretty "frame" picture. And the boots. Looks real effective.

I saw this recently and thought it was a very good example of someone being a 'passenger' on a horse. I'd imagine this is one hell of a dominant mare and she's certainly been and is being allowed to rear to get where and what she wants, I tend to think theres certainly a lot of; "Oh no, I don't want to go over there, i'll just rear, get a release and then go the other way, and when you shorten your reins again, i'll just do another one." from the horse. It's even more noticeable around the gate... There also seems to be a whole lot of steering with the reins but I didn't see her actually using her LEGS to get the horse forward and where she wanted...It just seems like a lot of the horse snatching, getting the reins, her shortening them again, the horse rearing again, repeat.
Good job on the riders part sitting them so well but you can clearly see who's 'running the show' as my old instructor would say...

This is just what I thought, anyone else have any opinions?
Not sure if bad_riding worthy but it just seemed like one hell of a mess..

She uses BAILING TWINE as her side reins.

-head desk-

And when someone nicely pointed this out to her, she FLIPPED on them.

Irish gypsies at it yet-a-fucking-gain. It's these amoebas (I don't want to refer to them as 'people' or 'animals' too insulting to all involved) that give the rest of us a bad name.

10 month old filly
Enjoy.

I took out the names. But this horse is supposed to be a 2 year old. I took out the names but this is my convo with her. It gets worse but it's moving to fast to keep updated. If said horse ends up crippled, she'll take him to auction but she wants him looking flashy at his first show and "  the real show horses that look amazing wear pads chains and all that jazz so he will look good I will win and everything will be ok lol"

Just got out of a hot bath relaxed my muscles lol now gonna get dressed and go out to eat with my best friend♥ and probably go see our "baby" and ride him some surprisingly he's gonna be a bad ass racking paint horse!! He's already awesome!!! His feet come off the ground about 3ft and we haven't even got our farrier Darrell good to come put some super THICK pads on him with chains and then we will see what that horse has got lol can't wait !!! I'm gonna make Austin ride him today ! I
Need to observe his feet to see how thick of pads hes getting

...having the shit beat out of them. Poster of this video claims that this is some big-name trainer - couldn't tell you if it is or not. What I do see is a woman brutally beating a horse (the video is grainy but if you look carefully you can see blood on the horse). WHY do people get into the horse business only to do this to animals in their care!?

There's a tempest-in-a-teapot brewing amongst my Facebook friends on this one and I wondered what y'all thought of it. I know there are folks here who are much better versed on the rollkur controversy than I am.
